We’re looking for someone who can coordinate and design office spaces, and bring them in on time and within budget, using AutoCAD 2010 and our industry-leading resources. Apply online at http://interiorsolutions.iapplicants.com | Duties: | You’ll be planning and designing office furniture solutions to accommodate our client’s needs and exceed their expectations.
• Attend client meetings with sales and or manage accounts directly
• Prepare and deliver client presentations (selection of finishes, presentation boards, bid specification, etc.)
• Create, modify and refine designs, to conform to customer specifications, production limitations, or changes in design trends.
• Responsible for interior design factors such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings or equipment, color coordination, electrical placement and recommendations, installation drawings and reconfiguration
• Coordinate the look and function of product lines.
• Confer with sales, project management, and installation departments, or with customers, to establish and evaluate design concepts for manufactured products.
• Present designs and reports to customers for approval, and discuss need for modification.
• Evaluate feasibility of design ideas, based on factors such as appearance, safety, function, serviceability, budget, production costs/methods, and market characteristics.
• Research production specifications, costs, production materials and manufacturing methods, and provide cost estimates and itemized production requirements.
• Estimate material requirements and costs, and present design to client for approval.
• Confer with client to determine factors affecting planning interior environments, such as budget, architectural preferences, and purpose and function.
• Formulate environmental plan to be practical, aesthetic, and conducive to intended purposes, such as raising productivity or selling merchandise.
| Qualifications: | •Bachelor’s degree in design and proficiency in AutoCAD 2010 and CAP
•Two years plus of Contract Furnishings industry experience
•Systems Furniture application skills
•Knowledge of interior construction materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures
•Knowledge of construction and architectural theory for application in the interior design process
•Ability to work on industry specific software, specifically CAP within 3 months of employment
•Ability to coordinate projects in a timely and cost effective manner.
•Ability to anticipate and analyze problem areas and suggest recommendations to achieve project goals and objectives.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
